Children, Youth & Family Ministries

Grace Church is Safe Sanctuary organization. We have on file and seek adherence to “A Safe Sanctuary Policy for Children, Youth and Vulnerable Adults and those who minister with them.” Safe Sanctuary Policy

Until further notice we’re encouraging home & family-based children’s lessons.  We also discourage use of the nursery until we get through this COVID season.

There are also class offerings for students in Middle School and in High School. Depending on the content, those ages might also hold class together. Every-other year there’s a Confirmation class for Middle School youth.

The Children’s Ministries team is excited to partner with you to help the children in your life become deeply committed Christians.  From classes on Sunday mornings for kids from ages 3 to 6th grade, to Vacation Bible School and summer camps, and programs/activities for families, it is our hope that families grow together on their journey to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.

Currently, no classes for children ages 3 to grade 6 are currently being held at the church.  Instead, we've distributed resource boxes to families with children ages 3 to grade 6 to grow their faith at home.  Each family received a book, The Story for Children or The Story for Kids and activity pages for chapters 1-10, a Make Mealtime Family Time booklet, and a Kids Missions page with service project ideas.  These resources will help kids and their families to explore the Bible and their faith in new ways.

Grace UMC is a place for youth to be transformed by God through worship, Sunday morning GIG, confirmation, year round activities/events, service opportunities and more. Every student finds a place of belonging here.

Currently, YOUth (Grades 7-12) are gathering Sunday mornings from 8:38 – 9:19 AM in the YOUth Room to connect with one another and talk about Bob Goff’s new book, Dream Big, which is all about helping you to reach your biggest dreams.  No need to get up early…we’ll have simple breakfast foods available (i.e. granola bars, fruit).  It’s not too late to join the conversation! (No class until mid-January; will re-evaluate then.)
